The British Academy – UK Collaborations in the Humanities and Social Sciences – Now Open
Are you interested to collaborate with United Kingdom researchers on important education research?
The British Academy is inviting proposals from UK-based researchers working with international partners wishing to develop interdisciplinary projects involving both the humanities and the social sciences on the theme of Global (Dis)Order.
The purpose of each project will be to develop new international research in the humanities and social sciences, to further our understanding of global order and disorder. Research may be problem-focused, creatively innovative and exploratory, and should bring together relevant disciplines in the humanities and social sciences, where appropriate, for maximum impact/effect. The Academy expects all applications to fundamentally involve and integrate both the humanities and social sciences. The Academy particularly encourage applications led from the humanities.
The Academy envisages the awards made through the Programme will:
• By such understandings of Global (Dis)Order bring to bear a deeper, more nuanced, and historically aware thinking to the topic;
• Identify the contributions that could be made to international and national knowledge exchange, practice and policy development in this area and what lessons can be learnt to navigate any future landscape(s);
• Develop ways of communicating and collaborating in cross-disciplinary and multilingual working in partnership with colleagues internationally.
Eligibility: Applications must be lead by UK based CI’s at postdoc level or above. International Co-Applicants are required. The Co-Applicant must either be in a permanent position at the institution or have a fixed term position for the duration of the award; and must register and upload CV and publication information on the British Academy Flexi-Grant® system.
