Program AreaPriority Outcomes
Enabling Education: When students, parents, teachers and the wider community work together and are engaged in children’s learning, students’ academic achievement, well-being and productivity improve.  The Foundation recognises the importance of education in achieving better life outcomes. We know that children and young people who are engaged in their learning get the best results, and the support of family and the community can strengthen students’ achievements and lifelong opportunities.      1. Working with community: Strengthen engagement with children, families and community to break down barriers to accessing education for children experiencing vulnerability 2. Starting and staying strong: Enhance early learning (0-5) through initiatives that ensure children arrive at school with the skills and support they need. 3. Targeting performance with the most valuable skills: Ensure young people (6-18) are at the centre of their learning, with teachers skilled up to implement evidence-led solutions   WBF are looking for initiatives that can provide impact at scale with the right support, rather than funding the ongoing delivery of programmatic responses. Specifically, WBF fund initiatives in these seven ways: Collaborating for greater impact Building long-term partnerships Supporting capacity building Scaling up proven models Supporting regional communities to thrive Addressing the challenge of youth mental health Supporting grass roots community activities
