INEI Online Seminar: “Can We Universalize Localized Peace Education?” (25 Feb, 12am [Registrations by 23 Feb, 8pm])

Featuring INEI partners MGSE, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Hiroshima University.

Hosted by Hiroshima University’s INEI Committee and Educational Vision Research Institute (EVRI), this symposium will discuss the universality of localized peace education. Peace Education in Hiroshima has been developed as anti-war, or more specifically anti-nuclear weapon education. We learn, indeed, the cruelty of the atomic bomb from Peace Education in Hiroshima. It is, however, less applicable as peace education. We will discuss how peace-oriented educational activities implemented in various local contexts have the potential to build peace in society.
