Research Mentoring Workshops

Date: 30 April

Time: 1-3PM

Venue: Graduate House

To delve deeper into these recommendations and facilitate their integration, the RDU is hosting a series of workshops tailored for professional and academic research leaders across the University who are interested in or tasked with upskilling staff in research mentoring through individual, peer and group programs. The workshops will be facilitated by Andrea Rizzi, former Associate Dean Research at the Faculty of Arts (2020-2023), Professor in Italian, co-founder of the ongoing FoA holistic mentoring programme, and co-designer of Advancing a Culture of Research at Melbourne University. These sessions are designed to offer insights, resources, and strategies to enhance our mentoring initiatives effectively.

You can register here for the first workshop, held from 1-3pm on 30 April, in-person at Graduate House, and attendees will be welcome to join us for afternoon tea and further discussion.

Two more workshops will be held in 2024, on Friday, 2 August, 1-3PM and Monday, 2 December 1-3PM. Registration links will be available after the first session.
