Workshop: Supervising Indigenous Graduate Researchers at UniMelb
The University of Melbourne welcomes and supports Indigenous graduate researchers and the Indigenous Strategy (2023-2027) commits to ensuring their cultural safety and academic sovereignty while working and studying at the University.
The Researcher Development Unit (RDU) invites all research supervisors to this one-day workshop which will explore the opportunities and challenges of quality supervision for Indigenous graduate researchers. You will explore the shifting narrative from deficit focused to recognising the value of Indigenous knowledges and reposition Indigenous graduate researchers as change makers. Hosted by academic champion A/Prof. Shawana Andrews, Director of the Poche Centre for Indigenous Health.
