Based in Chancellery, the Digital Research Academic Convenorship team (DRAC) helps provide an academic voice into University digital strategy and capability, provides capability awareness back to faculties and researchers and facilitates the resolution of complex technical and infrastructure challenges. 

The DRAC encompasses strategic programs, infrastructure, and initiatives at the University of Melbourne to enable, enhance, and empower digital research and compute capability, strategy, and resources. DRAC is an outcome of Petascale Campus.

The DRAC team has an opening for a level C or D academic 0.4FTE until December 2024 Academic Convenor – Research and Data Computing. This position offers a compelling opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and academia, driving innovation and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations that will have a lasting impact on research across a wide range of disciplines. The team defines focus areas based on need and member expertise.
