Book launch: “Temporality, Space and Place in Education and Youth Research” (2 Nov, 12.30pm)
You are warmly invited to celebrate the launch of a new edited book that grew out of the work of STE researchers and graduate students.
Temporality, Space and Place in Education and Youth Research
Eds. Julie McLeod, Kate O’Connor, Nicole Davis, and Amy McKernan
The idea for the edited volume developed out of a reading group STE held for several years on ‘Temporality, history and place’; the book represents the culmination of collaborations, theses, and intellectual exchange in the years during and since. Some of the chapters began as parts of PhD theses, and other ones developed from connected research projects, involving collaborators both in Australia and internationally.
The book is published as part of the AARE series with Routledge, Local/Global Issues in Education; and the editors and authors thank AARE and the series editors for their support.
Jessica Gerrard will say some words to help launch the book, as will some of the contributors—reflecting on the ideas and aims of their writing, then and now.
So, please join STE for a ‘Launch over lunch’ (BYO lunch but sweet treats provided!).
