Congratulations to our Researchers this September
The Faculty had many reasons to celebrate this September, including success with major fellowships and awards. Congratulations to our colleagues on these key accomplishments and contributions to our field over the last month.
Graduate Researcher Megan Smith was awarded the Ian Scott Scholarship from Australia Rotary Health for research relevant to mental health
Two Special Studies Program-Short (SSP-S) were awarded for 2024. Congratulations to Ruth Aston (AERC) and Rhonda Di Base (STE).
Peter Woelert was awarded a prestigious Senior Fellowship by the College for Social Sciences and Humanities, an Institute for Advanced Study based in Essen, Germany, for his research project “Between professional bureaucracy and managerial university: A comparative analysis of the administrative demands placed on university professors in Germany and Australia”.
The College was founded in 2021 under the umbrella of the Research Alliance Ruhr, a joint research initiative of the University of Duisburg-Essen, the Ruhr University Bochum, and TU Dortmund University in Germany.
The fellowship will support a six-month long residency at the College in Essen, Germany in 2024 and provide additional funds to support research activities.
