Centre of AI & Digital Ethics 2023 Seed Funding Round

Expressions of interest now open for CAIDE’s 2023 Seed Funding Round! CAIDE is looking for up to 5 projects exploring the ethical, legal, philosophical, scientific, tech or policy challenges of automated tools, providing expertise in a specific field. CAIDE will fund projects of up to $20,000. Each team must have two CI’s from differing CAIDE member faculties – Melbourne Law School, Melbourne Graduate School of Education and the Faculties of Arts, Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences, and Engineering and IT. Selection Criteria

Projects are selected by CAIDE with advice from the CAIDE Steering Committee on the following criteria:

– Feasibility, scope and budget
– Project novelty and innovation
– Alignment with the seed funding scheme as well as the Centre themes and priorities
– The suitability of the team to conduct the proposed research   
– Potential to generate high impact, scale and obtain future funding
