NATSIHEC/NATSIPA Conference 22-23 November 2022, Melbourne

The conference is open to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff and students. It is free and participants can attend online or in person at Swinburne University, Melbourne.

The conference does have a strong early career academic and postgraduate student focus, however, will also be interesting for those: looking to undertake postgraduate studies; work within research focused areas; work with students; are interested in hearing some amazing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander scholars talk about their work and how we can navigate the university environment. With honoured guest and dinner Keynote N’arweet Dr. Carolyn Briggs AM.

Key sessions include:

  • Publishing
  • Methodology
  • Grant Writing
  • Supervisor Relationships
  • Scholarships and Fellowships
  • Ethical Research and Research Ethics
  • With a ‘writing for The Conversation’ Workshop by Editors Amanda Dunn and CarIssa Lee.

To highlight the awesome knowledge of conference participants there will be a poster competition (sponsored by the University of Tasmania) and time allocated for participants to present their own work. Please find sign-up sheets and instructions attached.

The Draft Program can be found on NATISHEC’s Website under Events.

If Indigenous staff, students or communities would like to attend the whole conference, a single session, or even just the dinner they can register via Eventbrite on the link below or via the poster QR Code.
