Call for nominations: Dublin Prize 2022

The Dublin Prize (established 1892) is available for award in 2022. The prize will be awarded for the most important original contribution to Literature or Science or Art by a student or graduate of the University of Melbourne.

One prize of approximately $3,066 is available in 2022.

This prize is open to:

  • Enrolled undergraduate or graduate students of the University of Melbourne
  • Graduates of the University
  • Note: VCA students/alumni eligible to be considered for the prize are those who were enrolled or have graduated in courses after the VCA Act 1991 was enacted.

Selection

The prize will be determined by a committee of five members appointed by the President of the Academic Board.

You are invited to submit nominations of suitable persons for consideration for the Prize to Dr Bella Blaher, bblaher@unimeb.edu.au, by Monday 21 November

Application documentation must not exceed four A4 pages comprising:

  1. the letter of application which argues the case for an outstanding contribution;
  2. a brief CV;
  3. any other supporting documentation; and
  4. applicant’s contact details including their current mailing address and;
    1. for graduates, the name of their degree, the year it was conferred and applicant’s previous name if the applicant has changed their name since the degree was conferred
    2. for current students, their student email address and student number as evidence of their student status.

Applications that do not comply with the above requirements will not be considered.

Nominations are submitted by the Faculty Dean to the Academic Secretary by the nominated closing date, 30 November 2022.
