Australian Centre Online Discussion Forum: Engaging with MGSE (1-2pm, 16 November)

Earlier this year the University re-launched the Australian Centre under the leadership of Professor Sarah Maddison and Deputy Director Dr Julia Hurst. The Centre is hosted by the Faculty of Arts but is a University-wide endeavour, and Sarah and Julia are keen to engage with academic staff in all divisions who work in areas that align with the Centre’s critical focus on ‘Australia’ as a colonial construct.

To that end we are inviting all interested MGSE staff to join Sarah and Julia Hurst for a short presentation on the work of the Centre, followed by an open discussion on how that work might relate to our interests here within Education. The Centre is keen to garner MGSE feedback and gauge interest with a view to future collaborations. These discussions will be used to help to shape the Centre’s 5-year plan and guide the Centre’s future aspirations.
