U21 MCR Program 2022: Reset, Reimagine, Reframe
It is a time of huge disruption and transformation for universities, and mid-career researchers (MCRs) have felt the impact of accelerated change acutely over recent years. The impact of external challenges and pressures, which create a constantly shifting landscape, on the operational, day-to-day life of researchers, has been huge. The programme will convene MCRs from across U21s global membership to share knowledge, perspectives and ideas
U21 MCR programme provides an opportunity to refocus and reset; to adopt the right mindset and identify the skills and attributes required to adapt and thrive within a creative and collaborative research culture.
Week 1: A Lens to View the World – Mindset for Success
Week 2: A Deeper Dive into Collaboration and Innovation (Part 1) – Perspective Taking and Influencing Beyond a Remit
Week 3: A Deeper Dive into Collaboration and Innovation (Part 2) – Building Consensus and Risk Taking
Week 4: Action Planning for Future Development
Candidate Criteria
It is anticipated that MCRs would be at the level of Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor (or equivalent), from any discipline, and who aim to enhance the quality and reach of their research through expanding their global research networks.
