GR Supervisors Invited To Be Part Of User Experience Activity

In response to feedback, the GR staff web content project team are developing additional resources to support graduate research (GR) supervisors and advisory committee chairs. One of the biggest frustrations for supervisors, advisory committee chairs, GR administrators and chairs of examiners was finding information they need on the existing site. To solve this, this project needs to learn from a wide range of users and we’d value your participation in two short online activities.

What does it involve?

They are running two short online studies over the next three weeks which involve completing a series of tasks in your own time. Each will take around 30 minutes.

Once you commence the study, you will need to complete the exercise in one session.

Access to the first online task will remain open until end of day Sunday, 26th November.

This first test aims to gain insights into your natural mental models as you cluster information within the existing site. This is pivotal in constructing a more intuitive Information Architecture.

A second test in the week of December 4th, will be centred around a prototype. Its purpose is to evaluate the navigational effectiveness of the proposed prototype, contributing essential data for making well-informed decisions regarding the layout of the future state navigation.

One more request

The more users the better data we will have to improve the user experience. Your involvement will be highly valued, insights and expertise, which will play a crucial role in shaping the future Information Architecture of GR supervisor and staff web content.
