The National Intelligence Post-Doctoral Grants (NIPG)

A NIPG (10 available) provides $365k over two years to enable Post-doctoral research by an individual into specific NIC (National Intelligence Community)-defined topics.

The key dates for this program are as below:

  • Applications (topics announced) open: 20 November 2023
  • Applications Close: 16 February 2024
  • Anticipated announcement: June 2024

The National Intelligence Post-Doctoral Grants (NIPG) PAS (Postdoc Application Support) initiative is for funding commencing in 2024 (Round 4). PAS aims to:

  • level the application playing field for the researchers from underrepresented/disadvantaged groups;
  • drive greater equality, diversity, and inclusion in the ONI (Office of National Intelligence)-funded research workforce in support of the National Intelligence Community (NIC);
  • support the program intent of identifying and building best-quality capability in the University Sector.

As part of the PAS Initiative, 2 identical webinars will be organised by ONI for eligible potential applicants prior to the opening of applications for NIPG Round 4.
