Reminder—final registrations! MGSE Research Conference, 27 October, 2022.

MGSE’s Research Conference this Thursday will be a chance to reconnect in person after two years as a whole-school community around our research activity, including a keynote and panel discussions that will help inform ongoing planning around our overall research strategy and agenda.

The full program can be found here and highlights include:

  • Higher education policy and the research impact agenda: Opportunity or overload?“, keynote by Professor Jenny Lewis (Director, Scholarly & Social Research Impact—Chancellery Research & Enterprise, and Professor of Public Policy, School of Social & Political Sciences—Faculty of Arts).

As Director of the University’s new initiatives focused on Research Impact in the context of Advancing Melbourne 2030, Professor Lewis’ keynote is timely as MGSE considers how these priorities relate to our own strategic direction.

  • Presentations from current research and graduate research from across MGSE.

  • The launch of MGSE’s Graduate Research Community, as one of the first strategic initiatives that forms part of the new Graduate Research Strategy.

  • Guest delegates from MGSE research partners, including the Department of Education and Training Victoria.
