1.RECRUIT FoE GRs NOW for 2026 – applications close 18 September.
We are growing research excellence at the Faculty of Education.
Find ways to attract the best and brightest to study with you in 2026.
FoE will have approximately 20 scholarships on offer (2/3rds for domestic students).
Typical University of Melbourne requirements are a 4 year degree with a GPA of 75 in the last year of Honours or Master study and at least 25% of the most recent course as a research/project component. Given a restricted number of places actual entry requirements can be more stringent particularly so for international applicants (due to limited scholarships).

Impactful Career Pathways
9:00am – 5:00pm Tuesday, 10 & Wednesday, 11 June PAR-168-9-910 | This program is designed to empower mid-career researchers to explore career pathways and opportunities that help them to pursue positive change in the world using Impact as guide. Led by Professor Tom Daly, Director of Research Impact at Melbourne Law School, the program is designed to provide knowledge and practical skills that can be used to support a flourishing and dynamic career. The focus is on working through a process of understanding what impact means for you and how to incorporate it into career planning, goals, and daily activity. Identifying different types of impact and how these align with values are foundational components. The program has a practical focus on ‘how to do impact’ using some key tools and guidelines, including how to evidence and describe your impact. |

Supervisor Development Series: What’s acceptable? Practical advice for supervisors on responsible authorship
12:00pm – 1:00pm Tuesday, 17 June Online | Supervisors are instrumental in shaping the growth of graduate and early career researchers. While authorship remains a cornerstone of academic advancement, it can also be a source of concern and occasional conflict. Further, the emergence of AI platforms can aid in producing scholarly works but also introduces new risks for researchers. This one-hour session provides positive, practical and preventative guidance for supervisors on authorship, including the appropriate acknowledgement of AI in publications. The session will include time for Q&A with members of Research Integrity Investigations team and Research Integrity Advisors, who are experts in understanding and applying research integrity policies and the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research. |
