Australia-Japan Foundation Grants
The Australia-Japan Foundation (AJF) seeks to advance Australia’s engagement with Japan by supporting people-to-people linkages, promoting a contemporary image of Australia in Japan, and facilitating informed discussion on key bilateral foreign and trade policy issues.
The objectives of the AJF are:
– to increase awareness and understanding in Japan of shared interests with Australia;
– to increase awareness and understanding in Australia of the importance of Japan to Australia as an economic and strategic partner; and
– to increase recognition in Japan of Australian excellence and expertise.
The AJF provides grants to projects aligned with the Australian Government’s priorities with funding from the Program. The AJF expands people-to-people and institutional links through programs and partnerships on contemporary issues, including in economic diplomacy, the arts, media, education, business, science, technology and sport.
Key priority areas are society, culture and sport; economic diplomacy and geopolitics; education and Australian studies; scientific innovation; and communication, information and advocacy.

Australia-Korea Foundation Grants
The Australia-Korea Foundation offers annual grant funding to organisations and individuals to support projects or activities which advance Australia’s engagement with Korea, including exchanges, partnerships and other collaborations in the general fields of business, education, academia, arts/culture and society.

Eligibility:
The following entity types are eligible to apply:
– an Australian entity with an Australian Business Number (ABN), Australian Company Number (ACN), or Indigenous Corporation Number (ICN);
– an Australian consortium with a lead organisation;
– an Australian registered charity or not-for-profit organisation;
– an Australian local government body an Australian State/Territory government body;
– a Corporate Commonwealth Entity;
– an Australian statutory authority; be an Australian or permanent resident of Australia;
– be a citizen or organisation from the Republic of Korea;
– be a well-established organisation in the Republic of Korea with a business purpose to advocate for Australian business, education and/or cultural interests;
– be already based in Australia or the Republic of Korea or able to travel to the Republic of Korea from a third country.
