MGSE Labs: Information/Q&A Session

As mentioned at this year’s Setting the Scene, MGSE plans to introduce “labs” as an option for academics looking to build greater visibility and depth around an active and enduring program of focused research. Labs are an opportunity to bring together a coherent collection of projects (funded and unfunded), publications (including NTROs), peers (internal, external, and—especially!—graduate researchers), and partnerships (professional, industry, etc.) to further incubate, advance, and disseminate new knowledge against a clear, identifiable research agenda.

Small-scale and focused, Labs are Investigator initiated, driven, and led, and membership is porous. We anticipate most Labs will typically comprise small core teams of MGSE colleagues/GRs with collaborative links to peers/partners beyond the School, but some Labs may be led by a sole MGSE-based Investigator, with a team wholly comprised of external membership, given the nature of their research and networks.

To discuss how Labs could work at MGSE and learn more, come to the MERI session this Wednesday:

  • Wednesday 15 February 1.00-1.45pm
  • Room 904 or via Zoom
